Mr. Mruma is an advisor and program manager with more than 20 years of experience, including over 10 years engaged on consulting assignments in horticulture, edible oils, dairy, red meat and cereals marketing systems development programs.

Before joining the Centre, he was the Director of Input Systems and Productivity for USAID - NAFAKA Cereals Marketing Systems Development Project (CMSD), where he led various engagements including last mile farmer services strengthening initiatives for seven years (2014-2021). Prior to NAFAKA (2008-2014), he worked with SNV-Netherlands Development Organization as a Private Sector Development Advisor for six years (2008-2014) specializing in horticulture, edible oils, dairy and red meat value chains.

Prior to SNV- Tanzania (2001-2007) he also worked with various international development organizations including Enterprises Works World Wide Inc, Techno Serve and a food processing company an as an Assistant Manager.

Silvanus holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Horticulture from Sokoine University of Agriculture and brings various skills including; design complex portfolio of diverse and interlinked market systems development interventions, private equity investment facilitation, practical and strategic side of program management especially in; planning, management, oversight, leadership, partnerships, monitoring, evaluation and learning.
